Enta Group provides support to local Community First Responders

Telford based IT and communications group, Enta Group, is supporting its local community by providing ongoing support to Telford’s Community First Responders.

The Community First Responder Scheme comprises of teams of volunteers who are trained by the West Midlands Ambulance Service to a nationally recognised level to provide life saving treatment to people in their local communities. Community First Responders (CFRs) are usually first on scene, responding to calls within seven minutes travelling time radius from their address. Attending a variety of emergency situations including cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes, choking, diabetic emergencies and traumatic emergencies, CFRs provide life saving treatment in the critical first few minutes and are fully supported by the emergency services.

CFR Schemes are self funded although all training, loaned equipment and necessary support is provided by the West Midlands Ambulance Service. This results in an obvious requirement to raise funds and support throughout the local community.

Enta Group became involved in the scheme in late 2008 when the importance of the CFR Scheme was brought to the attention of Enta Group’s CEO and founder Jason Tsai by a member of staff. “I was informed that a member of our staff was an active CFR and I learnt of the vital, life saving service these volunteers provide to our community. I was immediately interested in supporting the scheme and we began by providing a domain and hosting service to the organisation free of charge. I plan to follow this up with regular financial contributions which we are currently discussing.” said Jason Tsai.

This is not the only support the Enta Group CEO provides to the local community. Originally from Taiwan, Tsai promotes the importance of cultural understanding between British and Taiwanese/Chinese communities in the local area. This support extends to the Telford Chinese School which he has been involved with for several years.
