Entanet’s quality products and dedicated support recognised with three ISPA Award nominations

26th May 2010

Entanet, the leading provider of voice and data communications services and wholesale connectivity, has been named as a finalist in three categories of this year’s ISPA Awards, recognising the high quality of its support and service commitment.

The ISPA Awards are the UK Internet industry’s premier awards programme, reflecting the broad nature of the service provider sector. This year, Entanet has been named as a finalist in three highly competitive categories; Best Business Fixed Broadband ISP, Best Internet Telephony and Best Business Customer Service ISP.

Commenting on behalf of Entanet, Head of Marketing, Darren Farnden said: “This is a fantastic achievement and we are delighted to have been nominated in these categories. Entanet has a pioneering approach to delivering next generation services. We remain the only provider to have fully adopted WBC (Wholesale Broadband Connect); became the first to launch 21CN based ADSL2+ services back in 2008; were the first to fully utilise IPStream Connect to deliver all broadband connections via a 21st century platform; and are currently involved in trials of fibre based connectivity and Annex M. This nomination reflects the innovative nature and high quality of our broadband and VoIP products and the dedication and expertise of our customer service teams.”

Entanet’s Head of Operations, Neil Watson, added: “The ‘Best Business Customer Service ISP’ award is a particularly noteworthy addition to the awards programme, as quality of support continues to be a major factor in the satisfaction levels of broadband customers. It is important to acknowledge those service providers that are committed to delivering high quality support from experienced staff. This nomination reflects the continued amount of effort Entanet has invested to improve the broadband experience for our customers.”

Finalist nominations in the categories of ‘Best Business Fixed Broadband ISP’ and ‘Best Internet Telephony’ were awarded after a three month period of stringent technical testing conducted independently by Epitiro, the world leader in IP service assurance and quality measurement. The winners will be selected by a panel of expert industry judges and will be announced at a ceremony on 8th July.

This latest ISPA Awards achievement follows a history of nominations and successes for Entanet. In 2007 and 2008 Entanet was the only provider to achieve finalist nominations in a staggering total of five categories, and in 2008 the company went on to obtain the titles of ‘Best Internet Telephony’ and ‘Best Consumer Email’.

However, it is not just within the ISPA Awards that Entanet has achieved success. The company has also received ongoing recognition for its significant levels of organic growth by being ranked 61st in the 2008 and 2009 Sunday Times Techtrack 100 and achieving recent listings in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Fast 500 EMEA, Tech Media Invest Top 100 and this year’s Real Business Hot 100. Additionally, this year Entanet has been named as a finalist in the PCR Awards category of ‘Specialist Vendor of the Year’ and also in the categories of ‘Channel Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Best IP Telephony Provider of the Year’ in the Comms Business Awards where it has also been shortlisted in the reader vote for the category of ‘ISP of the Year’.
