Allowance periods
Business packages: Allowances are used 08:00hrs to 20:00hrs Monday to Friday. Usage outside of these times is uncharged.
Family packages: Allowances are used 08:00hrs to 00:00hrs Monday to Friday. Usage outside of these times is uncharged.
Rate Limiting
Where a customer has chosen to either only use their standard monthly allowance package or utilise pre-pay top-ups in addition, once these have been exceeded the connection will be rate limited to 128Kbps with an additional 1GB of usage allowance applied. Upon consumption of this additional 1GB usage allowance the connection will be blocked until either the customer purchases a top-up or until the start of their next billing period. Purchasing a top-up will resume the service. To avoid this situation the customer can choose to automatically top-up. However, please note that customers are only able to auto top-up once per billing period.
Entanet Network
Entanet has made significant investment in its national network to ensure reliable, high quality connectivity services to customers. The Entanet backbone stretches from Glasgow to Frankfurt (DE-CIX), with further connectivity into Amsterdam (AMSIX & NL-ix) and provides, via our vast network of partner organisations, circuits from 2Mbps up to 10Gbps. Entanet has expanded its existing MPLS based network to the 20 WBC (Wholesale Broadband Connect) nodes that form BT’s 21C network. This strategy facilitates extended national coverage that enables Entanet and its Partners to provide a range of high quality voice and data services. By utilising WBC consuming IPStream Connect (IPSC) from 10 IPSC interconnections Entanet is able to deliver existing ADSL services over 21CN backhaul as opposed to IPStream centrals.
